Urban Health Training Centre, Parvathipura
The Department of Community Medicine runs the Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC).The UHTC is situated in Parvathipura, about 0.5 kms from the KIMS Hospital.
The UHTC has an Out Patient Department (OPD) which functions every day. The OPD caters to the health care needs of the population of UHTC field practice area. This has facilities for patient examination and minor surgical procedures. The diagnosis and treatment of patients is free including distribution of drugs.
Staffs, post graduates & Interns are posted by rotation to the UHTC. On an average there are 2 interns posted at one time.

- General out-patient services daily at UHTC.
Specialty Services : - Immunization on Thursday
- Psychiatry OPD on Wednesday
- There is an existing two-way referral system of patients from the UHTC to KIMS hospital including follow up of patients.
